This was the first incarnation of the whole Star Trek franchise. The first episode was called 'The Cage' with a Captain Christopher Pike at the helm. It didn't prove to be a winner in the ratings so they decided to start again from scratch. All the characters are changed except one, Mr Spock, the Vulcan. The female 'Number One' changed her hair and become Nurse Chapel in the revitalised series. She was later to become Mrs. Roddenberry in real life. Kirk's catch phrase 'Beam me up Scotty' was never said in the real-life series, it came from the cartoon series that followed in the 70's. The main enemy of the day were the Klingons, who looked surprisingly like humans. The series was famous for its cardboard sets amongst other things. Due to the popularity of the Star Wars Films, Paramount began producing Star Trek Films.

I am a SciFi lover and all, but there are two shows that I liked back in the 60's that I have been looking for on DVD's. One I know the name of, it is My Partner the Ghost. It was from England and was about a pair of detectives who one of them gets killed and his ghost comes back to help solve the murder. But he does not return to the grave before the sun rises and is stuck on Earth and helps his partner salve cases. The other one I do not remember the name of. It was a bout three people, I believe one woman and two men who get hurt up in the mountians and are saved by an advanced race of humans and they get special powers. One of these are they know when the others are in danger and need their help. I remember watching the show and likeing it, but not alot more. It was not from England and I would really like it if you could help me find out what the name of this seires was. I know this probably is not what this is for but I have tried everything else I could find. So please help me if you can. My E-Mail address is xxxxxxx@xxxx.net or xxxxxxx@xxxx.com. Thank you for your time and if you know the name or where I can get the shows. Hope to hear from you. Pete Jr.
