The traditional alien is one that is hi-tech, advanced with spaceships. In this, the aliens are bugs who are resident on their home planet. The war begins when a meteor that has been directed at the planet smashes into Buenos Aires, Argentina. The film covers the beginning to the end of the war all in the space of two hours. The aliens are able to shoot things up into the near space and knock a meteor out of orbit and send it to Earth. The cast apart from Michael 'V' Ironside are all unknowns at the time. The only member of the cast who does on to make anything else is Denise Richards who went onto star in Wild Things then The World is Not Enough. The film became a computer generated series where the war hadn't come to an end. In the series, the fighting takes place on different planets than the one in the film.

ST3 was good but the 2 sucked but the ST3 will porbly have more bugs and better weapons then the last 2

i liked da part in starship troopers when that huge beetle thingy ate that grenade and its head blew off!!! i give that part 2 thumbs up.

I can see from Casper Van Dien's IMBD that he completed work on a 2005 Starship Troopers and apparently has kids with an unknown female pilot. Any news on this?
Some girl you don't know
This movie came out back in the day when I was knee-high to a grasshopper. Now, significantly older, I actually understand the film. It's amazing, actually. My favorite charictar is definately Ace Levy (Jake Busey). What part he did have in the movie, he stole the show. His humor and cocky attitude just screamed at me. I loved him in this! This movie actually has a good story-line, and really gets to the point. I find that in most movies, there's a hour of 'before the war' life, and then about ten minutes of actual battles. This is the kind that gives you ten minutes of that 'before the war' stuff. And the rest is packed with action, gore, humor, and understandable conversation. I prefer this to the second one. BY FAR.
