The latest incarnation of the series sees us going back in the future to the first captain of the Enterprise. A time when the ships are small than we've known. The Universal Translater which explained why all aliens spoke English has not been created yet. Hoshi Sato is the ships resident translator who does a good job at translating. The main enemy alien race are the Suliban who don't appear in any other series which is a bit disappointing because there is no continuity. In the series, they have gone back to their roots slightly with a Vulcan crew member.

Surprisingly, I like TPol. She's calm and calculated, but not mean. I like Archer too, as a captain, and his dog. And Travis Mayweather. Intersting character Phlox!
