The series is set in the 30th Century A.D. The known universe is now under the control of a facist federation with its headquarters on Earth. Blake had been brainwashed after leading a failed attempt to overthrow the federation, the brainwashing is unsucessful and he is soon back to the renegade way of life. The character left after the second series with Kerr Avon continuing the struggle. He leads a motley crew in the starship 'Liberator' as they set out to undermine the Federation. It has been reported on many sites that Paul Darrow who plays Kerr Avon has persuaded the BBC to give him 3.5 million to update the story.

Ellen; I had the same question! I found in Wikipedia the following answer: Video and DVD releases The entire series has been released by the BBC on VHS video (initially as a set of four heavily abridged tapes, then subsequently all 52 episodes), and so far Seasons 1–3 have been released on DVD (Region 2, U.K.) by BBC Worldwide. Season 4 is scheduled for DVD release in April 2006.

I love Blake's Seven. I wish it were still coming on. That last episode is the greatest episode of any television show I can remember. The first time I saw them all get killed, I thought I would die. Anyway, I miss this show and its one of my favorites. I'm disappointed that there are no pictures of the actors. I will try to find their official site.
